New Hutchinson Bar Benefits from $61,500 in Gap Financing through StartUp Hutch

The entrepreneurial spirit continues to thrive in Reno County as The Tipsy Owl and Boozy Badger Lounge prepares to make its grand opening later this year. Owned by Chandra L. Burks, this brand-new bar promises to bring a unique and vibrant nightlife experience to the heart of Hutchinson, Kansas.

The launch of The Tipsy Owl and Boozy Badger Lounge has been made possible through guidance received from StartUp Hutch along with loans from StartUp Hutch ($30,000) and NetWork Kansas’ E-Community Fund ($31,500), as well as matching loan funds from First Bank Kansas.

Chandra is thrilled that her long-time dream of owning a community gathering place has finally come true. “I have spent years working in different places be it corporate, small

town dive bars or bigger named companies watching, learning, researching, and

gaining everything needed to be able to one day open and own my own place. Now that day is here!”

Jackson Swearer, Entrepreneur Navigator and Director at StartUp Hutch, expressed enthusiasm for the new venture, stating, "We are thrilled to support The Tipsy Owl and Boozy Badger Lounge as they embark on this exciting journey. Chandra's vision and dedication to creating a vibrant social hub for the community align perfectly with our mission of fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth in Reno County."
