StartUp Hutch Announces Two New Board Members

Hutchinson, Kan., April 23, 2021 – StartUp Hutch announced the addition of two new members to their board of directors, Shane Iwashige and Brett Henry.


Shane Iwashige is a serial entrepreneur and owner of The Rock Group. Iwashige’s business operates several arms including rental properties, custom renovations, realty, and home cleaning services. Iwashige lives in rural Partridge.


Brett Henry is a partner at Adams Brown Strategic Allies and CPAs. He received a bachelors in accounting from Fort Hays State University and is a graduate of the ‘Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants’ “20 up to 40” leadership program. Henry lives in Hutchinson.

“Shane and Brett each bring unique business experiences that will help StartUp continue its evolution as an entrepreneurial hub for Reno County” said Jackson Swearer, StartUp Hutch Program Director and Entrepreneurial Navigator. “They both possess an entrepreneurial mindset that is needed to keep our organization on the right path.”


Iwashige and Henry join fellow board members Jeni Bryan (Board Chair, Jackson Meat), Julia Doerksen (Treasurer, First National Bank of Hutchinson), Eric Spurgeon (Vice-Chair, Tarhun 3D), Nick Baldetti (Secretary, McPherson College), Scott Cooley (Heartland Credit Union), Dave Mullens (Hutchinson Community College), Anna Woods (SheStrength), Melinda Young (Bretz & Young Injury Lawyers) to complete the 2021 StartUp Hutch board.
