StartUp Hutch Seeks Entrepreneur Navigator

StartUp Hutch is seeking a magnetic, high-energy team member to serve as the Entrepreneur Navigator. This candidate will work alongside the Executive Director to continue the development of a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, mentors, and small business advocates that champion activity to start, operate, scale, and transition businesses in Reno County. 


Serving as the chief connector/trusted guide for entrepreneurs, the ideal candidate will generate entrepreneurial activity through: 


  • Creating collisions that spark new ideas 

  • Guiding entrepreneurs through the start-up process 

  • Sharing inspirational success stories 

  • Engaging the Reno County business community to mentor and support entrepreneurs 


Additionally, StartUp Hutch is proud to announce that Jackson Swearer, previously serving as Entrepreneur Navigator, has stepped into the role of Executive Director. Jackson's leadership and dedication to fostering entrepreneurship in the community make him ideal for this position. 


Jackson Swearer, now Executive Director of StartUp Hutch, expressed his excitement for the organizational changes, stating, "I'm thrilled to step into the role of Executive Director at StartUp Hutch, especially during this exciting time of growth and collaboration. With this new chapter, we're poised to make an even greater impact on the entrepreneurial landscape of Reno County." 


The addition of a new staff member has been made possible through partnerships with K-State 105, NetWork Kansas, Hutchinson Community College, and K-State Research and Extension.
