Swearer Named Entrepreneur Navigator For Quest Center

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Quest Center announced Thursday that Jackson Swearer will start as the new Entrepreneur Navigator. He'll begin his new duties on April 8. In his new role, Swearer will be Reno County’s chief connector and trusted guide for entrepreneurs—the first call for any community member wanting to start, grow or buy a business.

Quest Center board president Daniel Friesen said Swearer’s hire comes at a crucial time. “In response to COVID-19, we’ve already seen incredible innovation among our small business community,” Quest Center Board President Daniel Friesen said. “Many businesses are facing new territory with online selling, delivery, and perhaps weeks of pause in their traditional services. Laid-off workers are ramping-up side hustles or even considering a new business venture of their own, and that's where we come in. "

Swearer is currently wrapping up his Health Equity Specialist work at the Reno County Health Department.

“Small businesses and entrepreneurs drive our region’s ability to thrive,” Swearer said. “The navigator role is truly a dream job for me, and I’m excited to connect people to a community of resources to make their ideas and business dreams a reality.”
